Day 5 - Chuncheon

A trip to Korea MUST include visits to film sites. The Korean Tourism people definitely knows how to milk this cash cow!

^Dock where one takes a ferry over to Namiseom Island . Our tour guide claims that the owner of the island had once put the island up for sale before they had filmed the show. There were no takers. Now, with its popularity, he is keeping it!
^ Ahhhhhhhhhhh... The most popular rows of trees in Korea.
^ A statue of the couple from the show. ^ The owner of the island has started to fill his island with resturants and other cultural or traditional attractions. Above: cute sculpture of cats and behind me, reproductions of straw huts built to house kimchi pots. Below: an interesting traditional house, newly built.
